God’s community is made up
of people from all generations; just like a family.
As the ORB community began to grow
to include more and more kids in the high school group
and the young adult group, a strange kind of “reverse
generational” process began to happen…..they
began to bring their parents along to “come
and see’ what was having such a great and positive
influence on their lives.
Older folks began appearing on
Sunday nights at the worship service. Several were
spotted at the Turkey Bowl. Some even came to the
prom!
As we began to feel a sense of
being connected through our children’s involvement,
we decided to make another ORB opportunity to meet
together on a regular basis for the purpose of supporting
and encouraging one another on discovering how to
best live out our lives to their fullest potential….seeking
out all that God has for us, in order to become all
that He has created us to be. We share old memories,
a few laughs, frustrations, joys and concerns as we
learn God’s perspective on life. What can we
hope in? Where does real Peace come from? In the future,
we will talk about finding rest and joy in life, and
what it means to have integrity. We have already begun
to pray for one another.
Come and see if there might be
anything here for you------if you have a family member
already coming to ORB, and even if you don’t.
We are the Mid-Week Oasis group. Come and be a part
of this new ORB family! We gather at a house in Middletown,
on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month, between
7:30 and 9:30. For more information, contact Carol
Andrews.
Hope to see you there!
